Wind farm plans refused by council

PLANS for a wind farm at Tydd St Mary have been refused planning permission by South Holland district councillors.

The decision, which met applause from an almost full public gallery, saw members of the development control committee stand by the Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG), which classed the development site at Grange Farm as unsuitable.

The plans would have seen seven 127m-tall turbines put in place by RES Renewables.
