Wimpy sign plans
FAST food chain Wimpy has submitted revised plans for signs on the restaurant it wants to re-open in Spalding town centre.
Wimpy had its previous application for the signs above the doors of the building in Market Place rejected by South Holland District Council as they were deemed inappropriate for the setting.
The original plans featured illuminated red letters spelling Wimpy on a grey background, but the revised plans show the background has been removed.
Another sign has been added that will stick out from the corner of the building and will feature the distinctive Wimpy logo.
Wimpy closed in September 2006 leading to the loss of nine jobs, but a new franchisee has since been found to take over the reins.
