Whether it’s a cake bake or a talent show, get involved

THE countdown to the first Two Lips charity week is on...and your local charities need you.

The Rotary Club of Spalding is calling for businesses, community groups and individuals to get involved in the special week of events from May 14-21.

It’s looking for volunteers to try their hand at an array of fundraising events, with suggestions including anything from a talent show to a cake bake off.

Help is also needed to sell Two Lips whistles throughout the week for donations of 50p or above.

All the proceeds will be divided among a number of special causes, which have been specially chosen by Rotary members for the work they do with the local community.

Those set to benefit include Spalding’s branch of PHAB, the League of Friends of the Spalding Hospitals, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Scouts and Guides.

Rotary International will also take a small portion for their nationally-supported charities.

Spalding firms The Fun Junction and JF Inkley have already pledged to lend their support, as have Holbeach and Spalding estate agent AP Sales.

To get involved, collect a registration form from any Rotary Club of Spalding member or the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian offices, or download one from www.spaldingtoday.co.uk.

Return completed forms to the Spalding Guardian offices or the address listed on the form.
