Bourne Grammar School is celebrating a year of outstanding academic achievement being recognised in the latest league tables.

The school ranks first out of 71 secondary schools in Lincolnshire in the percentage of students achieving two As and a B or higher in three facilitating subjects.

Its score of 25 per cent is well above the national average of 9.6 per cent.

Headteacher Jonathan Maddox said: “Competition for places on the best courses at the best universities is fierce so we encourage our students to aim high and achieve the best results they can.”
