Brick planters at Spalding Police Station could be cropping vegetables for needy families.

The plan has come from South Holland’s community policing inspector, Jim Tyner, who would like to donate any future crops to the foodbank.

Insp Tyner said: “It’s just at the idea stage. I can only do this with sufficient volunteers.”
