Unhappy at work, inquest told
A Holbeach man hanged himself from a tree because he hated work.
Paul Lilley (49) drove off to the Fens at Holbeach Marsh on January 24 after what his daughter Emma described as bullying at work.
Miss Lilley told an inquest at Spalding Magistrates' Court that she knew where he would be after he failed to show up at George Adams because he enjoyed going samphiring on the marshes.
Coroner Maureen Taylor recorded a verdict of suicide on Mr Lilley, of Wignalls Gate.
Mr Lilley, who had a history of suffering from depression, had not been to work for more than a week.
Staff from a nearby garage said he had been coming home early.
Miss Lilley checked he was not at friend's before she went to Holbeach Marsh, where she found his abandoned Astra car and called police.
They arrived at 7.45pm and found him hanging from a tree with a stepladder nearby.
Miss Lilley said he was happy at Turners before he was made redundant and went to George Adams.
She said at one point he had been ill and sent a private letter detailing his problems but when he went back to work the whole factory knew about it.
