Top dogs on show

Four-legged friends of all breeds converged on Fleet Fen for a companion dog show.

Organised by Fleet Preservation Trust, the show was held at Rooster Hill Farm and raised 500, which will be split between Fleet community, Fleet Wood Lane Primary School and St Mary Magdelene Church.

More than 100 dogs took part with owners coming from as far away as Hull to get involved in the show, which was the first one held by the trust.

Trust member Jane Haresign said: "It was very successful considering it was the first show we had organised. We are looking to repeat it next year."

The trust's next event is its May Fayre, which takes place at Battleford Hall Gardens, on Sunday, May 3.
