UPDATE: Thursday 10am: Passengers avoided serious injury after the car they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a JCB.
Although the air ambulance attended and at least one of the people in the Renault Megane is believed to have been cut from the vehicle by fire crews, police are reporting that all three people received minor injuries, possibly whiplash.
The car was being driven by a 43-year-old man from Peterborough. Passengers were a 30-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, also from Peterborough.
The road remained closed for two hours while the JCB was recovered.
