Spalding school's bonjour to twinning town

Pupils from The Priory School in Spalding celebrated a successful 15-year twinning link with the visit of French students.

The school held a week of activites with the theme of media to mark the visit of pupils from its twinned school IME Jean Deygout from Thorign sur Du, near Le Mans.

The school is in the Sarthe region of France, which is twinned with Lincolnshire and every year 13 and 14-year-old children from year nine enjoy exchange visits.

Youngsters stayed at the school all week and made slide shows, put together their own newspaper, visited the National Media Museumm, in Bradford, and enjoyed a party.

The visitors also enjoyed a taste of British cuisine with fish and chips from Turner's, in Spalding.
