Two groups of people from South Holland are raising money for Cancer Research UK through fitness.
The Donington Slimming World group is preparing to hold a 5k or 10k Slimming World does Race for Life event, while 12 members of staff from Brun Lea Residential Home in Pinchbeck also took part in Race for Life.
The slimming group is welcoming anyone in Donington and the surrounding villages to join in its Race for Life effort, at Caythorpe House in the village this Sunday, whether spectating or joining in the race.
Emma Scarborough, who runs the Donington Slimming World group, said: “We’d love anyone in Donington and the surrounding villages to join us whether they’re young or old and whatever their current fitness level.
“Hopefully the event will show people just how motivating being part of a group like ours can be.”

Meanwhile, staff from Brun Lea Residential Home in Pinchbeck took part in Peterborough’s Race for Life 5k at Ferry Meadows.
They walked the 5k in 70 minutes in the rain and raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Organiser Kirstie Laud said: “Cancer has affected each and every one of us at some point and it was a very emotional evening, but we were all very proud of ourselves for completing this and raising so much money.”
