South Holland District Council chief to quit

Chief executive of South Holland District Council Terry Huggins has announced his departure.

Councillors received an email yesterday afternoon from Mr Huggins, who is credited by some for making a success of South Holland’s joint management with Breckland District Council, saying he will be stepping down at the end of January

He said: “This has been a most difficult decision to make, it’s a decision made for personal reasons and not influenced by external factors.”

He went on to pay tribute to two councils.
