Anglian Water engineers were called to a burst sewer on Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, on Christmas Eve.

The burst led to roadworks between the traffic lights at the Pinchbeck Road/Woolram Wygate junction with each of the double lanes on Pinchbeck Road reduced to one.
Today (Monday) the junction has three-way temporary lights – with one lane moving at a time – while workmen make a temporary repair to the road surface. Permanent repairs will be done at a later date.
