Road dug up to fix pipe leak

Anglian Water has said sorry for digging up a major Spalding road just over two months after it was relaid by county highways engineers.

Work to fix a leaking water pipe at the junction of Pinchbeck Road and West Elloe Avenue lasted several days and the repair was finally done on Tuesday.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: “We are aware the road had only recently been resurfaced and are sorry for any disruption caused.” Photo (NIKKI GRIFFIN): SG041212-122NG.
