Road closures to come in area

Rail engineering work in South Holland this weekend.

Several roads in the South Holland area will be closed to traffic in the coming days and motorists are advised that diversions will be in place.

Hawthorn Bank and London Road level crossings will both be closed from 8pm on Saturday until 9am on Monday for rail engineering work to take place.

Both crossings will be closed again from 8pm on Tuesday until 8am on Wednesday and diversions will be in operation.

The level crossing near the A17 at Swineshead Bridge will be closed between 9.30pm on Saturday and 5.30am on Monday, with traffic being diverted onto the A1121.

Meanwhile, Holbeach High Street will be closed between 8.30am and 1.30pm on Sunday for Christmas lights to be put up.
