Reward for long service

A Whaplode Drove churchwarden was presented with flowers and a certificate as thanks for 25 years' service.

At the St John the Baptist Church Easter Sunday service Alfreda Brand was given a framed certificate by the Rev Richard Morrison and flowers by fellow churchwarden Morris Stancer, who is also a parish councillor.

The gifts were given as thanks from the Parochial Church Council and members of the congregation for her hard work.

Mr Morrison said: "She's very well known, gets a lot of things done and has been a great pleasure for me to work with."
