Potholes warning for drivers as South Holland’s flooded roads begin to dry out

Motorists are being advised to drive with care as flood water caused by days of heavy rain begins to dry out.

AA spokesman Gavin Hill said: “Many roads, particularly those in rural areas, which have seen flooding will be drying out and this leaves a risk of debris and mud being left on the roadside.

“Potholes are also hazards that do tend to occur at this time of year in cold weather.”
