Plea for drivers to help old folk

A Spalding charity that provides day care for elderly people is looking for new volunteer drivers.

Age UK Spalding District is seeking drivers up to the age of 75 who can spare a few hours a week to transport people in a minibus to its centre off Park Road.

Liz Walmsley, the charity’s general manager in Spalding, said full training is given – and drivers are accompanied by an escort who looks after the passengers.
