Occupant may have been forced into house

Police say the unharvested crop at the house in Winsover Road was worth about £16,000 and the overall turnover is about £50,000.

Pc Simon Harrison, south division's expert narcotics witness, said: "We are dealing with professional organised gangs here who also tend to be heavily involved in people trafficking.

"The person or people living in the house may have been smuggled into the house and may have felt unable to leave that property.

"Thankfully a member of the public has noticed something suspicious, which has led to this raid.

"Very often these gangs move in and seemingly cause very little disturbance with very few comings and goings."
