New Year’s Day arson attack

Fire destroyed a touring caravan following an arson attack at Holbeach St Marks in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Fire crews from Spalding, Holbeach and Long Sutton were called to Middle Marsh Road shortly before 2.45am.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue says the blaze also caused moderate damage to panelling on the side of a barn.

The fire was put out with one hose reel and one main jet.

The fire service say the cause was deliberate ignition.
