There’s even more reason for your youngsters to enter this year’s Spalding Prince and Princess competition – the winners get a new bike!

After years of Gibbons Cycles in Spalding donating bikes for the old Spalding Flower Parade prince and princess competition, new owner Andrew Mills has done the same for the new event.

The search is on for a prince and princess to have some royal fun during the inaugural two-day Springfields Festival and Tulipmania.

Open to six to ten year olds, the tulip-themed competition will take place on day one, Saturday, May 3.

The prince and princess will be chosen on the day and lead the procession after being launched into the spotlight for a photo shoot around the event. As well as the bike, winners will also receive £25 and a goody bag.

Entrants are asked to wear a tulip-themed outfit. To enter, fill in the coupon on this page and return it to the address printed on it.

Groups entering the procession are also being asked to create tulip costumes or decorate small floats, prams or buggies to help make the event more colourful.

Anyone who would like to donate prizes can email Jan Whitbourn: admin@tulip- radio.co.uk.
