Martin Belton

Martin Belton (52) died in a road accident near Wigtoft on Tuesday, September 16.

Mr Belton, of High Street, Swineshead, was pronounced dead at the scene after the blue Rover he was driving was involved in a collision with a white articulated lorry on the A17 at 5.05am.

The road eventually re-opened at 11.25am.

An inquest into Mr Belton's death was opened by the coroner yesterday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and are keen to hear from anyone who saw either vehicles travelling in the area before the collision.
