Man stable in hospital after A151 accident

UPDATE THURSDAY 11AM: A man is stable in hospital after being seriously injured when his car crashed into a dyke near Spalding last week.

The man was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, with serious injuries after his Vauxhall Vectra left the A151 Holbeach Road just outside the town and ended up in a ditch full of water just before 5am last Wednesday.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident and a Lincolnshire Police spokesman confirmed that the man is expected to make a full recovery.

Anyone who saw the accident should call police on 101, quoting incident number 32 of December 19.

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 19 11AM: A man is in hospital with serious injuries after his car crashed into a dyke just outside Spalding this morning.

Police were called to the A151 Holbeach Road just before 5am after a silver Vauxhall Vectra left the road and landed in what a Lincolnshire Police spokeswoman described as a “large water-filled ditch.”

The male driver was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, with serious but non life-threatening injuries and the car was recovered.

The road was blocked for several hours bnut re-opened just after 10am and who saw what heppened should call police on 101, quoting incident number 32 of December 19.
