Lollipop lady forced out by drivers' abuse

Tuesday, 9.30am: A LOLLIPOP lady has quit after being subjected to a torrent of abuse from drivers while trying to help children cross a busy road.

Barbara Mayo (53) has often been left in tears after her half-hour crossing patrol shifts in Knight Street, Pinchbeck.

She has been helping children and parents at Pinchbeck East Primary School for a year and says everyone connected to the school has been a joy to work with - but she's had enough of irate motorists.
