LIVES personnel raised more than £10,000 for their life-saving charity by walking more than 100 miles from the Humber Bridge to Stamford.

The 12-strong party included a magnificent seven from the Spalding group, Adam Turner, Nigel Perry, Sandra Morgan, Ian Wright, Natalie Wright, Jack Barrett and Curtis Dorbon.

Adam Turner said: “Everybody finished, everybody got over the line.”

There were minor medical dramas along the way with several walkers suffering blisters – but they were in the right company to get sorted out.

Mr Turner said: “We used nearly 30 blister plasters and lots of tape.”

Our picture shows the walkers at the finish line with their support team.

• Spalding LIVES group attends 700 emergency calls in the town every year. Members have wide-ranging skills, including CPR.
