The countdown has begun for The Spalding People’s Parade – the event that continues the legacy of the Flower Parade.
Decorated hand-carts will take the place of tractor-towed, flower-filled floats and will go along Halmer Gate and the riverside on Sunday, June 22.
The parade leaves Sir John Gleed School around 1pm and the school itself will be the base for family entertainments from 11am.
Ian Smee, from the organising committee, said: “It is really important to continue the legacy of the parade and give the town a family friendly event to remember.”
