LATEST: Jason Donovan not at Spalding show - but Darren Day will be
The mix-up over Jason Donovan's anticipated appearance in Spalding on Sunday has been resolved with fellow West End star Darren Day stepping in.
Polka Dot Academy believed Donovan was set to appear at a variety show at the South Holland Centre.
But a statement released on behalf of the former Neighbours star states he has other "long standing commitments".
Polka Dot say it has now booked Darren Day for Sunday's event.
NHS Lincolnshire has already been forced to issue a statement saying that "unforseen circumstances" meant Mr Donovan would not be opening the new Tulip Suite at the Johnson Community Hospital on Sunday.
