Progress on a relief road in Spalding and new cycle paths were the main ideas to come out of a transport forum in the town.
The three-day event at South Holland Centre earlier this month gave people the chance to have their say on Spalding’s transport needs over the next 20 years.
About 140 people came to the event where they found details of plans to link the Holland Park development in Spalding with Bourne Road and Spalding Road, Pinchbeck.
Coun Howard Johnson, South Holland District Council cabinet member for economic development, said: “Overall, the impression I got was that the event was fairly well-attended.
“There was some support for the Spalding Western Relief Road, but other issues which came up were cycle pathways and concerns over level crossings with a possible increase of freight trains through Spalding.”
