Some 400 homes lost water for six hours on Sunday as Anglian Water repaired two bursts on Fleet Street, Holbeach.
Bursts happened 200 yards apart at 6.30am and one blew a hole in the road near to Foxes Lowe Road junction.
Police temporarily shut the road, but Anglian Water got traffic moving by 11am when traffic lights were installed.
There were low pressure water supplies up to 2pm, but those were lost during repairs.
Anglian Water spokesman John Clare said: “While the pipe has been fixed, the hole in Fleet Street has yet to be filled in and the road put back to normal.
“This will take a few days and, in the meantime, the temporary traffic lights will remain in place.
“We are very sorry for the inconvenience and will work to get things back to normal as quickly as we can.”
