There’s more good news as Spalding In Bloom bid for gold in this year’s East Midlands In Bloom competition.

Agents for Holland Market, Jones Lang LaSalle, have confirmed they will increase their sponsorship of hanging baskets to nine this year.

Spalding and District Chamber of Commerce president Phil Scarlett, a member of the Spalding In Bloom team, said: “Additionally they will sponsor the six railing planters on Swan Street,

“This means that there will be hanging baskets from Sainsbury’s along to Brantano, including Wilkos, Halfords and Argos.

“This is a step up from previous years when Holland Market didn’t really feature in Spalding In Bloom.

“Also more good news – Kerry Foods and FESA have agreed to sponsor five baskets within the town centre, but we have yet to decide where these should be situated.”

Baskets should be ready to go up in the town by the end of the month. Judging includes Ayscoughfee Gardens and Springields.
