People in Bourne and the Deepings have the chance to help influence a new approach to dealing with planning issues.
A Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is being drawn up by South Kesteven District Council which sets out how it will involve the community and relevant organisations in the planning process.
Coun Frances Cartwright, the council’s portfolio holder for economic development, said: “We adopted the original SCI in April 2006 but since then, there have been a number of significant legislative and regulatory changes to the planning system.
“Technology is also now more advanced which has changed the way people access information and get involved in planning matters within their areas.
“Given this, there is a need to update the SCI to reflect these changed circumstances.”
