Gleed students put on colourful display in radio Rock Challenge

Students from Gleed Girls' Technology College scooped several awards at a county-wide dance challenge.

A team from the Spalding school performed alongside counterparts from Grantham and Lincoln to put together a colourful display during the Lincs FM Be Your Best Rock Challenge.

Youngsters worked with teacher Chris Ringrose to come up with a choreographed show to represent the theme of "I'm a foreigner, get me out of here" based on the difficulties faced by people moving to the area from abroad.

A backstage team also worked on making sure the dancers were looking the part for the show.

The team took home the prizes for best acting skills, best hair and makeup, the community support award and the best interpretation of a concept.
