Girls ‘followed’ by man

Police were called after two 11-year-olds girls reported being followed by a man in Holbeach on Saturday.

The youngsters were in Huntingdon Close at around noon when they claimed a white, slim man in his 30s followed them.

The incident sparked a flurry of concern on social media site Facebook, where parents reported other incidents of a man seen loitering in the Holbeach area in recent weeks.

These have not been confirmed by police, who said no evidence was found of any offence following Saturday’s incident but anyone with worries about someone acting suspiciously in the town should call them on the non-emergency 101 number.
