Girl hurt after car collides with van in Spalding

A young girl suffered whiplash injuries after the car she was travelling in collided with a van in Spalding.

The girl from Spalding was in a Kia Sedona which collided with a Mercedes Sprinter van at the junction of Albert Street and Commercial Road just after 3.40pm yesterday.

Paramedics treated the girl at the scene but she wasn’t taken to hospital.

There were no reports of any injuries to the drivers of the Kia and van.

The accident did cause some congestion along Commercial Road but police didn’t close the road off.

Meanwhile, a car drove into the window of a fish and chop shop in Spalding at the weekend.

Wygate Fish Bar in Clover Way was left with a smashed window after a Smart car driven by a 73-year-old motorist from Spalding crashed into it at about 2.45pm on Friday.

There were no reports of any injuries.
