A gang of men wearing balaclavas got away with about £7,000 worth of cigarettes after raiding a petrol station in Holbeach.

The gang broke into Fleet Road Service Station at about 1am on Saturday and stole the cigarettes, before driving off in a silver-coloured Audi.

It is the second such raid within a week after about £3,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from Moulton Post Office and shop in High Street at about 12.20am on Tuesday.

The latest raid is also similar to break-ins last month at Tesco Express, Matmore Gate, Spalding, and Costcutter, Donington, where cigarettes were stolen from both shops.

Meanwhile, a gang left nails and screws on driveways in Old Fendyke. Sutton St James, which damaged a tyre on at least one vehicle.

Anyone with information on both incidents should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
