Friends stride out for fundraising Moonwalk

Two Crowland friends are to join thousands of other bra-wearing women to walk the streets of London for good causes.

Donna Mason (41) and Sue Parrott (45) will be heading to the capital for the Playtex Moonwalk on Saturday.

Around 15,000 people are expected to take part in the 26.2-mile overnight walk, which starts and finishes at Hyde Park.

Entrants are encouraged to decorate their bras on the theme of Rock and Roll Meets Bollywood.

Donna, who works at Wyevale Garden Centre, said: "Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer and we wanted to do something to help."

Part-time firefighter Sue is no stranger to a challenge having previously completed the London Marathon and more recently cycled from Crowland to Skegness.

The Moonwalk raises money for a number of breast cancer charities.

Anyone wanting to sponsor Donna and Sue can pop into Hollywood Hair Studio in North Street, Crowland, and fill out a sponsor form.
