South Holland firm Bakkavor Group has given help to some of its workers affected by the devastating Boston floods.

Fifteen staff members were presented with food vouchers worth £200 each after Bakkavor launched a Flood Appeal for those directly impacted after the River Haven burst its banks last December.

Staff at Bakkavor Pizza and Freshcook sites in Holbeach St Marks were asked to donmate any unwanted household goods that could be given to colleagues who were among about 700 households flooded out of their homes.

Bakkavor Group also gave any remaining funds and items to the official Boston Flood Appeal.

Tanya Booth, human resources manager at Bakkavor Freshcook, said: ““The Boston floods had a massive impact on the town and its residents, including a number of our employees.

“We wanted to show our support for those Bakkavor employees affected by helping them get back on their feet.”
