Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to free a 15-month-old boy who had his leg stuck in a shopping trolley at Tesco in Bourne.
Tesco spokesman Mark Thomas said: “Our colleagues reacted very quickly to try and free the child from the trolley and our on-site first aider assisted. We called the fire brigade when it was clear his leg was stuck and they attended quickly to assist.
“Our store provided some toys to take home once everything had been resolved and all our colleagues in Bourne send the family their best wishes.”
A Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crew from Bourne responded to the drama shortly before 5pm on Tuesday.
