Firefighters put out a blaze in the cellar of a Deeping St James pub last night (Tuesday).

Crews from Market Deeping, Crowland and Spalding were called out to the Waterton Arms, in Church Street, shortly after 9pm.

Firefighters used one hose reel jet to put out the fire and positive pressure ventilation (PPV).

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said there was damage caused to an extractor fan in the cellar and the fire was caused by an electrical fault within the fan.
