Even floods can be a thing of beauty

People have been asked to remain vigilant in the face of potential flooding with heavy rainfall predicted in the next few days.

Rain on Tuesday night left large pools on roads and fields and a stretch of the River Glen from Baston to Surfleet Seas End has been put on Floodwatch by the Environment Agency.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has attended 13 flooding incidents

The ground has been retaining a lot of moisture despite good weather yesterday.

Rita Penman, press officer for the Environment Agency's Anglian office, said: "All we can really say to people is to remain vigilant and keep abreast of the situation. We have a good flood warning system so those in an area of flooding will be notified if a situation escalates."
