English speaking course success

Twenty-one LGV drivers from Spalding firm FreshLinc have been presented with certificates after completing a 20-week English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course.

The drivers have gained a City and Guilds entry level award with the help of Miriam Knight, who is a tutor at the University of Lincoln Holbeach Campus.

FreshLinc personnel administrator Wendy Woolf said it was an excellent achievement for the workers.

She said the qualification would not only help them at work but would help them integrate more fully into the community.

She added that the drivers will continue lessons to achieve the next level qualification.
