Drivers in Bourne and The Deepings were ploughing through water several inches deep following flash floods caused by Thursday’s thunder storms.
Deepings resident Ashley Baxter captured a series of pictures, like the one above, of High Street – on the boundary of Market Deeping and Deeping St James – which was under six inches of water at about 4.30pm.
The road remained passable but drivers had to take it at a slow speed.
The flooding also affected Linchfield Primary School, which was closed on Friday, and hit several villages along the A15. Lincolnshire Police warned drivers to take extra care. A spokesman said: “Please be cautious, drive according to the conditions and take extra time for your journey.”
