Crews called to bedroom blaze

Friday, 8am: A faulty appliance sparked a fire at a Holbeach Bank home yesterday lunch time.

Crews from Holbeach and Long Sutton were called into action to extinguish a dire in the bedroom of a Bass Chase home at around 1.20pm.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue says the fire caused "severe damage" to the bedroom and contents as well as slight damage to the rest of the first floor.

It says it was sparked by a faulty portable gas appliance.
