Cat rescued from roof after 72-hour ordeal

Firemen using ladders came to the rescue after a cat hit unwanted heights on top of a house in Deeping St Nicholas

The cat was trapped for 72 hours on the roof of a house in Haywain Drive before a fire crew from Market Deeping brought an end to the nightmare just before 12 noon yesterday.

Firemen used nine metre, 13.5 metre and roof ladders to bring the cat down after a call from the RSPCA.

No one was injured during the rescue operation.
