Joint runners-up for the award, which was sponsored by Brown and Co, were Safe-T-Solutions, of Langtoft, and Eco-Plumbing, of Moulton Chapel.
Safe-T-Solutions is owned and managed by husband and wife team Richard and Vicki Appleyard.
The business specialises in providing forklift and first aid training.
One-man business Eco-Plumbing was started by David Rains in June 2006 and offers solar, warm air and ground source heating.
