Business Person of the Year winner

Matt Clark, of West End Leisure, won the title Business Person of the Year.

As well as West End Leisure, Matt is managing director for Inntact Properties, Inntact Leisure, Mafia, We'll Buy Your House and Food 4 Thought.

He said: "I'm absolutely delighted to have won. This was the one I really wanted.

"There are lots of things we do that people aren't aware of and I hope this will help people to see that we are more than just Loaded and Alleycatz.

"It's been a really good night and with such strong competition I never expected to win."

The business, which is based in Bond Street Court, Spalding, started trading four years ago and every company within it has seen growth and achievement within the last 12 months.

Judge Colin Moulder, of NatWest, said: "From an early age Matt has shown an entrepreneurial flair and passion for everything business. Despite still being relatively young, Matt displays all the attributes of a person who has been in business for many years and has a much older commercially minded head on his shoulders.

"Team/family ethics and values are important to Matt together with building a business which is fun as well as rewarding for all his staff to work in.

"Matt has a keen eye for a good business opportunity but isn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and get involved at shop floor levels.

"Overall a very deserving winner of this award."
