A woman was taken to hospital after she was run over by a buggy at Spalding Golf Club.

 

Play had to be suspended at Spalding Golf Club after a woman was run over by a golf buggy during the lunch hour on Monday.

The elderly woman was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with as yet unknown injuries after the collision just after 12.30pm.

Golf club manager and PGA (Professional Golfers Association) representative accompanied the woman to hospital and a club spokesman said: “We are doing a formal investigation into the accident ourselves.

“Nobody was seriously hurt and everyone is fine.”
