Body pump action in Spalding aids Wheel Power

A charity body training session raised £113 through donations.

The session at the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding was led by health and fitness manager Cheryl Ingleby.

Those who went along were given half an hour tasters of body pump, body combat and body balance.

Each Leisure Connection site aims to raise 3,000 for Wheel Power, its charity of the year, and the cash raised will go towards Spalding's total.

The money will help to pay for a wheelchair user to be trained in a sport of their choice and to provide equipment.

Cheryl said: "We were really pleased with the number of people who came along.

"Spalding Rugby Club supported us with players from the men's first, second and third teams and the girls' under-16s."
