Big spend upgrading council homes

South Kesteven District Council has spent £4,7 million in the last year upgrading council homes on its patch, which includes Bourne and The Deepings.

Money has gone on kitchens, bathrooms, heating and roofing.  The council says rents will rise “slightly” this year, but it is surging ahead with schemes such as its successful outside wall insulation.
