Bank raiders flee with cash from NatWest in Holbeach

MONDAY: Raiders hit the NatWest Bank in Holbeach in the early hours of this morning and got away with cash.

Police have not said how money was taken and are appealing for witnesses to help them trace those responsible.

Free Press readers say the raiders burned their way through the back of the ATM, but so far police have not confirmed that or said how the raiders got inside the bank.

A door beside the cashpoint was smashed.

The bank’s alarms sounded at 3am.

Police taped off the West End bank and mounted a scene guard with a PCSO outside the bank to await an examination by forensic experts.

• Police are asking witnesses to contact them on 101.
