£600,000 investment to bring new jobs to district

More than £600,000 of investment into South Holland Enterprise Park is to bring more jobs to south Lincolnshire.

Five new 2,000 sq ft units have been opened at Kingfisher Terrace in Pinchbeck thanks to a project led by Lincolnshire County Council and co-funded by Broadgate Homes and Lincolnshire Enterprise.

Eddy Poll, executive councillor for economic development at the county council, said: "We are pleased to announce the completion of these new units on this ideal site, which will aid business growth and benefit the area.

"Strategically positioned on the northern fringe of Spalding, the site takes advantage of the national road network with the A16 passing along the eastern side, so it's within easy reach of Peterborough, the A1(M) and industrial estates in Holbeach, Sutterton, Sutton Bridge and Crowland.

"We look forward to welcoming businesses into the area and feel sure they will be impressed with the site which features car parking, a large turning area, three-phase power and flexible letting options.

"All units are open plan for maximum flexibility and have a small office and toilet.

"These particular units will provide premises for those companies which have outgrown their original start-up space."

Lincolnshire Enterprise has provided 252,000 Single Programme funding and 350,000 of European Regeneration Development Fund money towards the new workspace.

Andrew Thurston, chief executive of Lincolnshire Enterprise, said: "The primary aim of the Pinchbeck Workspace Project is to enhance the local economy within south Lincolnshire, supporting both the creation of employment but also a growth in wealth.

"We believe that the units will have a positive effect on the local area and encourage further development and economic activity in and around Spalding."
